Who it is for
Who may need support
- Advertisers who received a Google Ads advertiser verification request and want to prepare carefully.
- Advertisers applying for government documents and services certification, where advertiser verification is Step 2.
- Advertisers whose verification was not successful, for example because of a name mismatch or an unsupported document.
- Agencies preparing verification for client accounts.
Background
What verification means
Advertiser verification is Google’s process for confirming who is behind an account. For the Government Documents and Services policy, it is usually the second step of certification. The two together are often called government verification.
What Google says
Google states that the details on verification documents must exactly match your payments profile information, and that your account is paused if verification is not completed by the deadline.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you complete verification for me?
No. Verification must be completed by you, in your own Google Ads account, with genuine information. We help you prepare and check consistency.
Should I send my ID documents through your contact form?
No. Please do not send ID documents, ID numbers, passwords or payment details through the contact form.
My verification failed. Can you fix it?
We can help you understand likely reasons, such as a name mismatch or an unsupported document type, based on Google’s published requirements. Only Google can review and decide.
Can you extend my verification deadline?
No. Google states that advertiser verification deadlines cannot be extended.
Does verification mean I can advertise government services?
Not on its own. For covered government documents and services, certification is also required. See government certification.
